MetroTPN.com came to us looking for a new eCommerice web site. We collaborated
with them to rethink their web site from the ground up.
New Home Page
When
brainstorming for their new site it was realized
that most potential shoppers are visiting for a particular Toyota
model,
so MetroTPN.com's redesigned
home page has a list of models they carry parts for, putting
them one click away from a
product listing for their particular car. The home page redesign
also left space for the client to advertise featured items that are
on
sale
and
that are new and/or unique to the store.
Parts Request
Their parts request form was redesigned
as well. Using
a 'Step 1,2,3' wizard approach we made parts request easy.
When ordering parts the customer first provides basic contact
information.
Next they add
a part by clicking a button and fill in the corresponding part
description. When finished the customer clicks
'submit request' and the
information
is sent
to MetroTPN.com via e-mail.
Product Selection
Lastly, we went to work on the product pages.
MetroTPN.com carries a lot of products that have different variations
per car model. For
example, the 'All Weather Floor Mats' product has a drop down
selector with over 10 variations, sometimes 3-4 available per
model. We made selecting the right part easier for the customer
by assisting in the selection process. For example, if the customer
selects
the 'Avalon'
products link
on the
home
page, when they
arrive at the 'All Weather Floor Mats' product page the
first Avalon variation is selected for them.
